Hawzah News Agency- Citing the teachings of the Imams, the revered scholar stated that with the birth of the Divine Guardian, the most sublime blessings are bestowed upon humanity. "He is the 'Best of the People of the Earth', and the existential effect of the best human on Earth benefits the entire Earth and its inhabitants," he said.
Ayatollah Javadi Amoli highlighted that the Imam of the Age, His Eminence Imam Mahdi (PBUH), the final Divine Proof and the "Best of the People of the Earth" in our time, was born in the early dawn of the 15th of Shaban in the year 255 AH. "This blessed night, which marks his auspicious birth, may also be a Night of Destiny, as some of the acts of worship for the Nights of Destiny have also been recommended for this night."
A Night Parallel to Laylat al-Qadr
The eminent theologian elaborated that Mid-Shaban is a blessed night whose virtues greatly resemble the Nights of Destiny (Layali al-Qadr). He referenced a luminous narration from Imam al-Sadiq (PBUH) that clearly establishes this parallel: "Indeed, it is the night that Allah has made for us, the Ahl al-Bayt, equivalent to what He made the Night of Destiny for our Prophet (PBUH). Just as Allah bestowed the Night of Destiny upon His Prophet (PBUH), He has granted us, the Ahl al-Bayt, the night of Mid-Shaban."
Further reinforcing this supreme status, Ayatollah Javadi Amoli cited Imam al-Baqir (PBUH), who, when asked about the virtue of the night of Mid-Shaban, declared it to be "the most virtuous night after the Night of Destiny."
The Imam (PBUH) stated: "In it, Allah the Exalted bestows His grace upon His servants and forgives them out of His benevolence. Therefore, strive to draw near to Allah (the Exalted) on this night, for it is a night upon which Allah the Exalted has sworn by Himself not to turn away any supplicant, so long as he does not ask for something sinful... So, strive in supplication and praise of Allah (the Almighty)."
Ayatollah Javadi Amoli’s remarks underscore the profound opportunity this night presents for spiritual ascent, divine forgiveness, and connection with the ultimate source of guidance, Imam Mahdi (peace be upon him). The night is marked by intensive prayer, vigil, and recitation of specific supplications, as believers seek to partake in the boundless mercy and decree-setting (Taqdir) that characterizes this sacred time.
