Indian Seminary Director: Any Attack on Ayatollah Khamenei Is an Attack on the Entire Muslim Ummah

The director of Baqer al-Uloom Seminary and al-Zahra Seminary in India has declared strong support for Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, stating that any act of aggression against him would be considered an attack on the entire Muslim Ummah.

Hawzah News Agency- In a formal statement, Hojatoleslam Mir Athar Ali Jafari praised Ayatollah Khamenei as one of the most influential contemporary religious leaders and described him as the true standard-bearer of the path and school of Imam Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Republic.

He said the Leader’s “wise and far-sighted guidance” has preserved the Islamic system in the face of continuous hostile plots and pressure campaigns, adding that such leadership has played a central role in safeguarding the dignity, independence, and strength of the Muslim community.

Leadership Rooted in Justice and Spirituality

Jafari highlighted the Leader’s repeated emphasis on justice, spirituality, and religious democracy, saying this approach reflects deep religious and political insight. He added that Ayatollah Khamenei has consistently defended oppressed peoples worldwide, with particular and outspoken support for the Palestinian nation.

He further pointed to personal qualities including simplicity in lifestyle, piety, sincerity, and humility as defining moral characteristics of the Iranian leader. According to the Indian cleric, the Leader’s cultural and scholarly vision has encouraged Muslim societies toward progress, self-confidence, and independence.

Personal Meeting Described as ‘Deeply Spiritual’

Referring to a previous in-person meeting with Ayatollah Khamenei, Jafari described the encounter as spiritually profound and unforgettable. He said the Leader’s paternal tone and warmth left a lasting emotional impact.

He noted in particular a remark in which the Leader described all seminary students as “our children,” saying the statement reflected genuine concern and sincerity rather than formal courtesy, and resonated deeply with those present.

Jafari said he came away convinced that the Leader remains a consistent and caring supporter of seminarians and Islamic educational institutions.

Call for Protection and Unity

The statement concluded with prayers for the continued health and protection of Ayatollah Khamenei and for the unity and strength of the Muslim world. It expressed hope that Muslim communities will continue to benefit from his scholarly guidance and leadership, and that religious institutions will grow stronger through his counsel and direction.
