Hawzah News Agency- Sheikh Abdullah al-Daqaq, an influential revolutionary cleric from Bahrain, strongly condemned recent threatening remarks made by the US president against Ayatollah Khamenei, describing them as a blatant violation of diplomatic norms and a reckless escalation with potentially global repercussions.
Sheikh al-Daqaq stressed that Ayatollah Khamenei is not merely a political figure but a towering religious authority in the Muslim world. He noted that millions of Muslims across various countries follow and emulate the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, underscoring the profound religious and spiritual stature he holds well beyond Iran’s borders.
“Any threat or infringement against this religious and spiritual position could provoke widespread reactions and lead to dangerous and unpredictable consequences,” the Bahraini cleric warned.
Sheikh al-Daqaq went on to characterize threats against the Leader of the Islamic Revolution as provocative and irresponsible, saying such rhetoric not only jeopardizes regional stability but could also produce consequences extending far beyond geographical boundaries.
He further emphasized that disrespect toward major religious authorities constitutes a clear breach of the principles of diplomacy and international coexistence. According to Sheikh al-Daqaq, the international community must remain alert to the serious implications of such hostile posturing and act responsibly to prevent further escalation.
The comments come amid heightened tensions in the region, with analysts warning that inflammatory language targeting revered religious figures risks deepening divisions and undermining already fragile security dynamics in West Asia.
