Hawzah News Agency- Hojatoleslam Syed Baqir Zaidi, a senior member of the Pakistan Muslim Unity Council, said during a recent address that Muslims are religiously and morally obliged to stand with the oppressed people of Palestine. “Supporting Palestine is an act of faith and conscience. The Ummah must defend the rights of the Palestinians with unity and determination,” he said.
He condemned Israel for its long record of violations of international law and UN resolutions, describing it as “a regime built on deceit, cruelty, and oppression.” Zaidi cautioned that recent ceasefire initiatives could be “temporary tactics to mislead world public opinion,” urging guarantor states to ensure that Israel fulfills its obligations and respects Palestinian rights.
“Ending the war does not mean ending the struggle,” he emphasized. “The liberation of Palestine and the protection of al-Quds are moral and spiritual imperatives for all Muslims.”
Zaidi stressed that the fight must continue until Palestinians achieve their right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent state. He urged the international community, including the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, to take concrete action toward a just and lasting solution.
“Raising one’s voice for Palestine is an act of worship,” he concluded. “The Islamic Ummah must remain united, resist oppression, and stand firmly yet peacefully against tyrannical powers.”
