Hawzah News Agency- In a message issued on the occasion of Muslim Unity Week, Jafari congratulated the Islamic Ummah and said the commemoration of the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) birth anniversary is a reminder for Muslims to make his luminous life the model for both individual and social conduct.
He noted that the late Imam Khomeini (RA) initiated Unity Week to urge Muslims to transcend sectarian divisions and return to the true spirit of Islam—brotherhood and cohesion—echoing the Qur’anic command to “hold fast to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided.”
Referring to current challenges such as the plight of Palestine, Islamophobia, and colonial conspiracies, Jafari emphasized that only through unity can the Islamic Ummah resist external pressures and protect its dignity. He also called on the people of Pakistan, particularly the people of Gilgit-Baltistan, to mark Unity Week with programs that strengthen inter-Muslim solidarity.
Concluding his message, he prayed for the progress of Pakistan, the honor of the Islamic Ummah, and support for the deprived and oppressed worldwide.
