The Pakistani cleric further added,” The felicity of the Islamic Ummah lies in the fact that the Holy Month of Ramadan has begun once again with all its blessings. This month provides a unique opportunity to purify the soul, and strengthen moral and social values that can pave the way for felicity in this world and the hereafter.”
Referring to the importance of fasting, this prominent Pakistani scholar emphasized that fasting is not only for enduring hunger and thirst, but also has numerous spiritual, intellectual, moral, and physical benefits. Fasting brings a person closer to his Creator spiritually and intellectually and paves the way for reforming individual and social ethics.
