Syria joined the celebrations as well, with footage from Aleppo and Hama showing crowds waving Palestinian flags and chanting solidarity slogans such as "Gaza, we are with you until death!" according to local media and social media accounts.
Lebanon’s Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon, especially in Beirut and throughout the country, were filled with fireworks. The streets of Sidon and Tripoli witnessed convoys of cars flying Palestinian flags and honking in solidarity.
In Tunisia, people gathered in the capital, outside the Municipal Theater, waving Palestinian flags and chanting slogans like "Gaza, the symbol of pride" and "No Zionist interests on Tunisian soil."
The announcement of the ceasefire comes after 467 days of Israel's genocidal assault on Gaza, enabled by US support, which has resulted in the deaths and injuries of more than 156,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children.
