Hawzah News Agency- The first night of mourning rituals marking the sad occasion was held at the Imam Khomeini Husseiniyeh (religious center) in Tehran on Monday evening.
A large number of devotes of Ahl-ul-Bayt (PBUT), including senior officials and people from different walks of life, took part in the ceremony.
It began with recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by renowned Iranian qari Hadi Movahed Amin.
Next, Hojat-ol-Islam Mehdi Aslani delivered a speech in which he elaborated on “engineering of Tabyeen (clarification)” based on the verses of the Quran as one of the characteristics of Hazrat Zahra (PBUH).
He said the Quran considers the path of struggle and resistance possible only based on the belief in the hereafter.
Elsewhere at the ceremony, elegist Saeed Haddadian recited elegies in mourning for Hazrat Zahra (PBUT).
Shia Muslims and others in different parts of the world hold rituals every year on the third day of the month of Jumada al-Thani in the lunar Hijri calendar to mourn the martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Zahra (SA), the beloved daughter of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
