Hawzah News Agency- Ayatollah Alireza Arafi, the head of Iran’s Hawzah (seminaries) has issued a statement condemning the recent despicable move by the Zionist regime threatening prominent Shia religious authorities with assassination. The full text of his Holiness’ message is as follows:
“And they ill-treated them for no other reason than that they believed in Allah, the Mighty and the Praiseworthy.” ¬– Holy Quran
The brazen and petty Zionist regime, in a stark insult to the elders of Islam and Shiism and in a despicable act, has published the images of the great authorities of religion and the combatants of the Divine cause as targets of assassination thereby taking its shamelessness and dishonor to the highest level.
The grand authorities of religion, shall their blessings endure, are the greatest leaders and navigators of the Islamic world in continuation of the luminous path of the prophets and saints of God, and hold a unique lofty status among the Islamic countries and nations as the patrons, refuges and caretakers of the Islamic Ummah and human community, whose protection Muslims consider their obligation.
The great authorities and prominent scholars, specially these two radiating figures, enjoy an indescribable position and status in the hearts of great Islamic Ummah, nations of the region and the free world, and any insult to their luminous status will be followed by the storm of fury from the Ummah and the free people of the world.
The display of the images of the Great Leadership Grand Ayatollah Imam Khamenei and the Grand Ayatollah Sistani is a clear offense and shows the insanity and stupidity of the heads of this regime and crystalizes the arrogant anti-human anti-ethical attitude of the falling entity.
The centers of scholarship condemn this insult and announce that this action will not pass without response and the Islamic Ummah will not leave this sacrilege unanswered.
The centers of scholarship in Qom, Najaf and around the entire world along with scientific and university institutions as well as the Islamic Ummah condemn this move and urgently demand international organizations, scientific and cultural communities and the scholars of various religions not to seat silent toward abominations of this kind and defend the essence of knowledge, ethics and spirituality.
