Referring to the developments in the region and its impact on the security and the relations of the countries of the region, Ammar al-Hakim expressed the importance of the relations between Iraq and the Islamic Republic of Iran, saying that the Arbaeen pilgrimage provides an opportunity for communication between the nations of the region and the world in the path of Imam Hussein (PBUH) who is a symbol of honor and reforms.
The leader of Iraq's National Wisdom Movement appreciated the position of the Iraqi nation in serving Arbaeen pilgrims from inside and outside the country and asked the media to focus on this large gathering of millions in difficult weather and geographical conditions.
In this meeting, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim further emphasized the importance of dealing with intellectual challenges in Islamic societies and the role of religious and social institutions and seminaries in this matter.
The Iraqi official also called for a ceasefire in Gaza along with providing aid to the refugees and providing the basis for returning them to their homeland in order to rebuild Gaza. He asked the international community to work and participate in achieving a comprehensive ceasefire.
