Shiites and followers of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) in the cities of Kolakh, Kulda, Dakar, Zigneshor, and Futa in Senegal and Nouakchott in Mauritania, Banjul and Sarkanda in Gambia, and Bissau and Bafta in Guinea-Bissau celebrated of Eid al-Ghadir event.

Hawzah News Agency- in addition to the speeches of native scholars and missionaries, fun programs such as poetry reading, face-to-face competition with prizes and praises of the pious Imam Ali, peace be upon him, and feeding and reception of the attendees were also carried out.

It should be noted that propagation programs were also implemented on local radios and social networks.

Eid al-Ghadir is a commemorative holiday and is considered to be among the most significant holidays of Shi'ite Muslims. The Eid is held on 18 Dhul-Hijjah at the time when the Islamic prophet Muhammad appointed Ali ibn Abi Talib as his successor.
