Hawzah News Agency- Shia scholar Ayatollah Seyyed Mohammad Saeedi, in the sermons of the Eid al-Fitr prayer held in Lady Masuma (PBUH) holy shrine, referring to the opportunity of the holy month of Ramadan to start a new year and walk the straight path of God, said,” With the blessing of fasting in the holy month of Ramadan, we have reached a special point and we must protect this important achievement of Ramadan month.”

The custodian of the holy shrine considered the most important demand of the Prophet (PBUH) from the Islamic Ummah to preserve unity and he said,” Just as God placed the Islamic Ummah as brothers to each other and in pursuit of this brotherhood, he told the believers to hold on to the rope of God and not be divided, so should the Islamic Ummah Follow this divine order.”

He added,” cohesion and unity among Muslims is so crucial and effective that all individual and social Islamic goals can be achieved under its shadow.”

Ayatollah Saeedi continued,” If this divine decree was carried out by the Islamic nations and governments, the oppressed people of Palestine and Gaza would have never been caught up in these calamities, atrocities and crimes, and their lands would not have been occupied.”

He clarified, "Today, many filthy hands have been stretched out to create discord in the Islamic society, and we must cut these divisive hands with the strength we found in Ramadan."
