The Director General of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Qom Province announced the screening of the films of the 42nd Fajr Film Festival in Qom simultaneously with the entire country.

Hawzah News Agency- In the press conference of the 42nd Fajr Film Festival, which was held in the meeting hall of Shahid Avini complex in Qom, The Director General of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Qom Province Amir Ali Amouzadeh said,” Independence, freedom and national authority are the three great pillars of the victory of the Islamic Revolution and we are witnessing the product of this authority today in the region and the world.”

He referred to Fajr Film Festival as one of the biggest film events in Iran and said,” Fajr Film Festival has enjoyed relative growth in recent years and this year Qom province will host this film festival at the same time as the whole country.”

The General Director of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Qom Province further stated,” This year, 18 films of the Fajr Film Festival will be screened in three cinemas, and the main venue of the festival will be Venus Cinema.”

Amouzadeh added,” Fajr Film Festival will be held in Qom province from February 5 to 12, and efforts have been made to screen each film three times in the province.”

He also mentioned the holding of the 16th Fajr Visual Arts festival in Qom province and said,” This festival started with the exhibition "Imagination of Art" in Farhang Art Gallery and will be open until February 10.”

Director General of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Qom went on,” The works of fourteen leading artists of Qom province with 131 works in eight fields of visual arts, including drawing and painting, graphic design, illustration, photography, calligraphy, painting, caricature have been displayed in this exhibition.”

At the end, Amouzadeh noted,” Also, a ceremony to honor the culture, art and media of Qom province will be held soon with the aim of honoring and appreciating the efforts of artists.”
