Hawzah News Agency- Ayatollah Alireza Arafi, the director of Iran’s seminaries, and his delegation, along attended the office of senior Iraqi cleric Ayatollah Iravani to meet with one of the great personalities of Najaf Ashraf on Friday, June 9.

In this meeting, Ayatollah Iravani praised the programmatic approach of Iranian seminaries and the transformation plans of Qom seminary; the Iraqi scholar also emphasized the importance of boosting interaction between Qom and Najaf seminaries.

The Ayatollah further acknowledged the published works of contemporary jurisprudence and considered it necessary for seminaries to respond to new religious inquiries and doubts.

At the beginning of the meeting, Ayatollah Alireza Arafi, Head of Iran’s Seminary, while presenting a report on the activities of Islamic seminary, presented Ayatollah Iravani with a course of contemporary jurisprudence works.
