A member of Qom seminary teachers' society stated,” The yearbook of the Islamic seminary is both a mirror of progress and a chance to know what we need to acquire. In this conference, we should have a comprehensive analysis of the seminary books that reflect both the achievements and shortcomings, and based on that, we should strategize future moves. The efforts of the seminary and responsible institutions in this field should be doubled in order to reach desired goals.”

Hawzah News Agency- Head of Iran’s Islamic Seminary Ayatollah Alireza Arafi delivered a speech at the closing ceremony of Islamic Seminary’s 24th book of the year conference, which came to an end with the message of Grand Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi in the conference hall of the Masumieh seminary in Qom on Wednesday, February 15.

Ayatollah Arafi expressed his condolences on the anniversary of the martyrdom of the 7th Imam of Shiites due to the special circumstances of Imam al-Kadhim (PBUH) and stated, “In his era, when there was a massive influx of different thoughts and ideas, Imam al-Baqir and Imam al-Sadiq (PBUT) presented the most important knowledge bases of Ahl al-Bayt (PBUT) and genuine Islam and opened new horizons of Islamic thought. As far as the remaining legacy of these two Imams (PBUT) is concerned, it is the largest legacy of the Prophet's (PBUH) family for the Muslim community.”

In another part of his speech, the head of seminaries stated,” Contemporary seminary of Qom has been a distinguished and unique seminary in the history of Islamic seminaries. Qom seminary was established in the 14th century after Hijra, it was a turbulent time with a lot of ups and downs for Iran and the world as well as seminaries.”
