Hawzah News Agency –Head of the foundation Ahad Faramarz Gharamaleki, expounded the research policies of his affiliated center in a press briefing on the occasion of the Research Week in the Scientific and Cultural Organization of Astan Quds Razavi, the body in charge of Imam Reza holy shrine. “These policies are premised on three areas of international presence in research and production of science, mutual cooperation with other AQR-affiliated organizations, and conducting research to meet AQR’s demands”.
As for the number of publications, the official said that the foundation had published 41 and republished 97 books since the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 2021), noting that it had published over 2300 books ever since it was established. “Since the start of the year, 54 specialized seminars and meetings have been held on different subjects, with researchers, university lecturers and scholars from across the country in attendance”.
Elsewhere, head of the Organization of Libraries, Museums and Documents of AQR, Hoj. Seyyed Jalal Hosseini talked about AQR’s outstanding and long presence in research, noting that the entire organization had almost a century of scientific experience under its belt.
Hoj. Hosseini deemed pilgrimage, endowment and charity, and Razavi culture as AQR’s primary missions, attaching a great significance to the production of science in that regard. “We need to produce 50 percent of the required science in the aforementioned areas over the next three years. Therefore, the nexus among the Islamic Research Foundation, Organization of Libraries, Museums and Documents, Razavi University of Islamic Sciences, and Imam Reza International University (IRIU) is of utmost importance”.
Stating that the Organization would pave the way for researchers, he continued, “We maintain a research-based and facilitating approach, and will provide the scholars and researchers with a comprehensive access to our database accordingly”. Hosseini added that the center under his control would offer close to 130 million references to potential researchers.
Also, head of IRIU, Morteza Rojoo’ee, pointed to the synergy among AQR’s scientific organizations, and close ties with the executives in Endowment Beneficiary Foundation, promotion of knowledge-based programs in the university, supporting demand-based research, etc. as the main policies of AQR to boost research.
