Grand Ayat. Mousavi Ardabili passes away aged 91

An Iranian Shia source of emulation, Ayatollah Abdul Karim Mousavi Ardabili, has passed away after suffering cardiac and digestive complications at Laleh hospital, Tehran on Wednesday, November 23.

Hawzah News Agency-The senior cleric had been taken to Laleh hospital in Tehran a few days ago due to a heart stroke. His condition worsened after a second heart attack, according to his medical team.

Ayatollah Mousavi Ardabili was born in Ardabil in 1926. After the Islamic Revolution, he became a founding member of the former Islamic Republic Party.

He also served in the Council of the Islamic Revolution, the Assembly of Experts, and the Attorney-General’s Office.
