Hawzah News Agency- In a statement, Hojatoleslam Syed Nisar Hussain Haider, Chairman of the Indian Ulema Assembly, denounced the “blasphemous and hateful act” of Raja Singh, a representative and senior BJP figure, describing it as a deliberate provocation against Islam and Muslims.
He urged the government of Telangana to “immediately and decisively” prosecute Singh, warning that failure to do so would embolden others to insult Islamic sanctities and divine figures.
“Raja Singh’s hateful rhetoric is not new,” Haider said. “But his recent vile and offensive remarks targeting the luminous image of the Prophet of Mercy (PBUH) have deeply wounded the hearts of millions of Muslims and all freedom- and justice-loving people around the world.”
Expressing deep sorrow and outrage, the cleric emphasized that the government must take “firm, exemplary, and deterrent” measures to ensure such sacrilegious behavior is never repeated.
He further stressed that confronting these actions is not only essential to uphold religious sanctities but also a necessary step to preserve peace, promote coexistence, and strengthen unity and security in Telangana and across India.
Concluding his statement, Haider prayed for the unity, vigilance, and steadfastness of the Muslim Ummah, asking God Almighty to protect the Islamic nation from the enemies of religion and those who desecrate the holy symbols of Islam.
