Hawzah News Agency- The outlet, citing three Israeli officials, stated that the Zionist regime’s government was informed of this change by the Pentagon on Friday.
According to the report, the officials said that 1,800 MK-84 bombs would be put on a ship and delivered to Israel in the coming days.
In May of last year, then-President Joe Biden, who has been associated with genocide in Gaza as one of his legacies, halted the delivery of a weapons shipment containing 2,000-pound bombs that Israel had employed to devastate large areas of the Gaza Strip.
He made this decision out of concern that the bombs might be used in densely populated regions.
The United States has long faced condemnation in international forums for its support of Israel in the genocide in Gaza, which since October 7, 2023, has targeted over 47,000 people, most of them women and children.
Some U.S. lawmakers, including Senator Bernie Sanders, have repeatedly called for halting the supply of weapons to Israel and ending U.S. complicity in Israel's war in Gaza.
Reuters also confirmed the move, citing a White House source. The source told the agency that Trump had instructed the U.S. military to release these shipments.
