Hawzah News Agency - The chief custodian of Astan Quds Razavi has met with the custodians of the holy shrines of Imam Hussein (AS) and Hazrat Abbas (AS) in Iraq, wherein they exchanged views on how to render more and better services to the pilgrims.
“I genuinely appreciate the generous hospitality of the Iraqi people to the Imam Hussein (AS) and Arba’een pilgrims,” said Hoj. Ahmad Marvi at the meeting, praising Iraqi people for sparing no efforts to serve the pilgrims in the best possible way.
He emphasized the necessity of developing the public transport fleet, from the borders of Iraq to the shrine cities of Najaf and Karbala.
“As in the holy cities of Najaf and Karbala and the route of Arba’een march, all Iraqi people and officials welcome the pilgrims warmly, facilitating visits to the holy shrines,” he said, adding: “Given the huge number of pilgrims, it is best to consider measures to develop the transportation services from the borders to the shrine cities to address the current problems of pilgrims at the borderlines.”
An important factor in facilitating the pilgrimage, he stressed, could be development of transport infrastructures, especially the rail lines.
Elsewhere, Hoj. Marvi described the love of the Infallible Imams as the core of the Islamic unity and friendship of the two nations of Iran and Iraq which is deeply rooted in history and in their love for Imam Ali (AS) and his pure progeny.
“The two great nations of Iran and Iraq have repeatedly demonstrated their unity and brotherhood, both in the great Arba’een march and the sincere hospitality of the Iraqi people and also in the fight against ISIS,” he remarked stressing that the enemy will never be able to break such unity which is centered on Islam and the love for the Infallible Imams (AS).
