Hawzah News Agency- the President of the Shia Ulema of Telangana Hyderabad, India, Syed Shaji’ Mukhtar, along with members of the council have met with Mohammad Hanifa Jan, Member of Parliament from Kargil. In this meeting, important problems of the Shia community were discussed and some key requests were made to the Indian government to solve these problems.
The points raised are as follows:
1. Problems of pilgrimage:
Urgent action to resolve the problems of traveling to holy places in Iran and Iraq.
2. Countering the genocide of Muslims:
Emphasis on the Indian government’s active role at the international level to prevent the genocide of Muslims and Shiites in Palestine, Myanmar and Parachinar.
3. Reconstruction of Jannat al-Baqi:
Pressure on the Saudi government to reconstruct Jannat al-Baqi.
4. Protection of Waqf Properties:
Enact special laws and take strict measures to protect Shia Waqf properties across the country.
Hujjat al-Islam Sayyed Shaji Mukhtar considered this meeting an important step towards raising the problems of the Shia community in the parliament and requested Muhammad Hanifa Jan to raise these issues effectively before the government.
