In an interview with the Hawzah News Agency in Tehran, foreign affairs expert Seyed Reza Sadr al-Hosseini stated that Washington sought to exploit the aftermath of the 40-day war to offset its failures on the battlefield through diplomatic maneuvering, but failed.
He noted that US behavior has once again exposed its true face, even to its own allies, as it progressively violated the ceasefire in recent weeks with attacks on multiple provinces, particularly in southern Iran.
Sadr al-Hosseini stressed that the Islamic Republic has consistently pursued lasting peace and stability in the region over the past 48 years. Tehran's policy, he said, has been to prevent escalation, but the United States has exploited this approach.
Khatam al-Anbiya HQ Warns of Shifting Battlefield
Commenting on the recent statement by the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, the analyst described it as a clear message to regional states collaborating with Washington: Iran's patience is wearing thin.
He cautioned that if US aggression persists, the scope of the conflict could extend from the West Asia region into a trans-regional theater.
Sadr al-Hosseini emphasized that the Islamic Republic had previously drawn its red line solely at American bases in the region. The latest warning, however, indicates this restriction will be lifted if violations continue.
US Bases in Region Considered American Soil
Pointing to America's military footprint, Sadr al-Hosseini stated that installations such as Al Udeid, Ali Al Salem, and other US military centers, while located on the soil of regional countries, are effectively American territory.
He added that Iran has repeatedly cautioned these nations against allowing their territory to be used against the Islamic Republic, yet missiles are now openly being launched from these bases toward Iran.
Infrastructure of Complicit States on the Target List
The analyst made clear that Iran had previously confined its calculations to American bases. Now, if regional states continue to participate in US attacks, they should not expect their infrastructure to remain untouched.
Sadr al-Hosseini asserted that the Islamic Republic possesses full intelligence dominance over the vital centers and infrastructure of these countries and, if necessary, they can be targeted.
Trans-Regional War: A Strategy Built on Ambiguity
Asked about the dimensions of a trans-regional war, the expert noted that Iran's Armed Forces have designed multiple scenarios based on their intelligence superiority, but the details must remain undisclosed.
He stressed that preserving ambiguity is a key feature of this strategy, ensuring the enemy cannot predict Iran's next move.
Referencing the potential to impact the Bab el-Mandeb Strait and other strategic energy corridors, Sadr al-Hosseini said this represents only a fraction of available capacities, with the Islamic Republic possessing numerous other options.
Strikes on Hospitals and Civilian Centers Aim to Break the People
Addressing US strikes on non-military areas, including the vicinity of Ahvaz's Shahid Baghaei Hospital, bridges, and grain storage facilities, the analyst said these attacks are not purely military in nature.
They are, he argued, a calculated attempt to exert psychological pressure on the Iranian people and erode their support for the establishment and the Armed Forces.
Sadr al-Hosseini stated that Washington seeks to convey it has no commitment to humanitarian norms or international law and that the Iranian people must surrender. He called this a gross miscalculation.
Millions-Strong Funeral for Martyred Leader Infuriated Trump
The analyst linked a surge in US rhetoric and military aggression directly to the massive funeral processions for the martyred leader in Tehran, Qom, Najaf, Karbala, and Mashhad.
The millions-strong display of loyalty to the martyred leader and the pledge of allegiance to his successor deeply angered Donald Trump, he said. From that moment, insults and intensified military action began, because contrary to Washington's assumptions, the Iranian people did not retreat but grew more cohesive.
Regional States Recognize Iran's Security-Building Role
Sadr al-Hosseini noted that many regional countries have now grasped the reality of Iran's stabilizing role, recognizing that the US presence dismantles security rather than creating it.
He said that while some regional governments are compelled to align with Washington due to dependency, they privately admit in off-the-record meetings that genuine regional security is impossible without the Islamic Republic.
Seizure of Iranian Islands Would Spell the Beginning of America's Crisis
Concluding his remarks, the analyst warned that Iran's Armed Forces stand fully prepared for worst-case scenarios, including any potential US designs on Iranian islands.
He stressed that if the US believes it can achieve its goals by occupying a portion of Iranian territory, it is gravely mistaken. Such an act would only forge greater unity among the Iranian nation, and the Armed Forces would enter the field with a different approach and far greater power.
Sadr al-Hosseini declared that capturing American troops is a cherished aspiration of Iranian fighters, and any aggression against the country's territorial integrity will be met with a response far beyond Washington's calculations.
