Hawzah News Agency- Speaking to reporters at the event, Hojatoleslam Uwaysi, head of the Quran and Hadith Research Group at Jamiat al-Zahra Seminary, emphasized that the Islamic Revolution was founded not merely on political or social aspirations but on Quranic theory and divine guidance.
“Before achieving political and social success, the Islamic Revolution was firmly grounded in Quranic concepts and principles derived from revelation,” he said. “Intellectual leaders such as Imam Khomeini, Imam Khamenei, Martyr Morteza Motahhari, and Martyr Mohammad Hosseini Beheshti articulated the Quranic foundations of governance, social justice, and cultural guidance.”
Ramadan: The Spiritual Spring of the Quran
Uwaysi also drew attention to the spiritual symbolism of the holy month of Ramadan, which is referred to in religious texts as Rabi ‘al-Quran — the “Spring of the Quran.” He explained that just as natural spring represents renewal and growth, Ramadan offers an opportunity for spiritual flourishing and reconnection with divine teachings.
“If Ramadan is the spring of the Quran, its social and cultural manifestations must also be evident in society,” he said. One practical manifestation is the International Holy Quran Exhibition, which acts as a tangible expression of Quranic engagement and public devotion.
Quranic Exhibitions as Public Symbols of Faith
Hojatoleslam Uwaysi highlighted the role of the exhibition as a national platform for displaying Quranic activity, drawing on the Quranic verse: “And whoever honors the symbols of Allah – indeed, it is from the piety of hearts” (22:32). He described these public manifestations as practical symbols of faith, similar to how slogans or emblems reflect identity.
“The exhibition allows institutions and organizations engaged in Quranic work — both governmental and specialized — to present their annual achievements,” he said. “From research and education to cultural and media initiatives, the event showcases the depth and breadth of Quranic activity nationwide.”
Fostering Scholarship and Public Engagement
Uwaysi noted that the exhibition serves not only the general public but also scholars, seminary students, and intellectuals, providing opportunities to engage with the latest Quranic research, creative projects, and technological innovations.
He concluded by emphasizing the importance of collaboration among Quranic centers, including Jamiat al-Zahra Seminary, and expressed hope that such gatherings would strengthen collective efforts to deepen Quranic culture throughout society.
The 33rd International Holy Quran Exhibition continues at Tehran’s Imam Khomeini Mosalla, providing daily opportunities for visitors to explore a wide range of Quranic research, cultural programs, and educational initiatives from across the country.
