Latest Quranic Research Highlights at the 33rd International Holy Quran Exhibition in Tehran

Tehran’s 33rd International Holy Quran Exhibition is showcasing cutting-edge research and interdisciplinary studies on the Quran at a dedicated section focused on the Quranic thought of Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei. The exhibit is drawing scholars, students, and enthusiasts eager to explore contemporary approaches to Quranic scholarship.

Hawzah News Agency- Rahim Abdolhossein Shurjeh, head of the Imam Khamenei Quranic Thought booth, explained that the section operates under the Applied Quranic Research Department, led by Hojatoleslam Rezai Esfahani. The exhibit is organized into six specialized sub-booths, each focusing on a distinct dimension of Quranic studies.

Imam Khamenei’s Quranic Thought

The first sub-booth highlights the Quranic philosophy and writings of Imam Khamenei, presenting works and conference proceedings that explore his contributions to contemporary Quranic thought. Visitors can access scholarly publications, research findings, and multimedia presentations documenting decades of academic engagement with his ideas.

Scientific Miracles of the Quran

Another sub-booth focuses on the scientific miracles within the Quran, with a particular emphasis on cosmology. Interactive displays and visualizations illustrate Quranic references to galaxies, billions of planets, and the broader universe, demonstrating the text’s intersection with modern scientific discovery.

Interdisciplinary Quranic Studies

A third area is dedicated to interdisciplinary research, bridging the Quran with fields such as management, law, politics, and various sciences. The exhibit offers visitors insights into new findings, enabling both academics and seminary students to engage with the Quran through contemporary, practical lenses.

Emerging Quranic Research

The booth for emerging studies presents the latest research, including analyses by Western scholars of Islam, new methodologies in Quranic interpretation, and recent academic dissertations. This section aims to keep participants informed about global scholarly trends in Quranic studies.

Quranic Infographics

In addition, a dedicated infographics booth displays Quranic concepts and verses in colorful, visually appealing formats designed to enhance understanding and engagement. These presentations combine artistic design with educational content to attract younger audiences and visual learners.

Evening Programs and Academic Engagement

Shurjeh highlighted a series of nightly programs hosted at the booth, including:

  • Expert-led lectures by prominent Quranic scholars
  • Workshops on research and academic writing
  • Panel discussions sharing scientific insights and recent findings in Quranic studies

“The goal of our exhibition,” Shurjeh emphasized, “is to present innovative and practical Quranic research while fostering interaction between academics, students, and all those interested in deepening their understanding of the Quran.”

The 33rd International Holy Quran Exhibition continues daily from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM at Tehran’s Imam Khomeini Mosalla, providing a dynamic platform where tradition, scholarship, and modern research converge.
