Hawzah News Agency- the annual Fatimiyya mourning procession was held in Najaf on the martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Fatima Zahra (peace be upon her), attended by Grand Ayatollah Hafez Bashir Hussain Najafi. The ceremony was also attended by a group of scholars, professors, seminary students, believers from various Islamic countries, pilgrims from different Iraqi provinces, and a number of tribal elders.
The procession set off from the office of Grand Ayatollah Bashir Najafi toward the holy shrine of Amir al-Mu'minin, Imam Ali (peace be upon him). Participants, in an atmosphere filled with sorrow and grief, honored the memory of the oppressed martyrdom of Hazrat Fatima Zahra (peace be upon her) and once again affirmed their love, guardianship, and loyalty to the Ahlul Bayt (peace be upon them).
Grand Ayatollah Bashir Najafi emphasized the importance of holding Fatimiyya mourning ceremonies, describing the event as an opportunity to renew the covenant with the Ahlul Bayt (peace be upon them) and to express adherence to the true religion of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his progeny).
Hojatoleslam Sheikh Ali Najafi, son of the religious authority and director of his office, also said in remarks that the Fatimiyya mourning procession is a manifestation of declaring disavowal of oppression, injustice, and terrorism, a symbol of steadfastness on the path of truth and justice, and an opportunity to keep alive the memory of the injustices committed against Hazrat Fatima Zahra (peace be upon her).
