Ayatollah Nouri Hamedani: Unjust Verdicts Against Scholars Will Topple Their Issuers

Grand Ayatollah Nouri Hamedani has warned rulers in the region that issuing unjust verdicts against scholars will not only fail to silence the voice of truth and justice but will pave the way for the downfall and discredit of those who issue them.

Hawzah News Agency- Grand Ayatollah Nouri Hamedani issued a message following prison and death sentences handed down against a number of scholars in regional countries.

The full text of the message is as follows:

In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

" The scholars of our Shia are guards at the frontier facing Satan and his demons, preventing them from attacking the weak among our Shia and from Satan and his Nasibi followers dominating them." This luminous statement reminds us of the critical role of scholars in safeguarding the faith of the people and standing against the front of falsehood. The duty of scholars is to defend truth, confront oppression and tyranny, and protect the boundaries of belief. Accordingly, wherever oppression occurs, the voices of scholars must be raised, and any aggression against scholars striving to defend religious beliefs and the rights of their people is condemned.

Recently, some rulers of regional countries, seeking to silence the voice of truth and justice, have issued unjust verdicts against scholars, including imprisonment and death sentences. It must be noted that such verdicts will not only fail to silence the voice of truth and justice but will pave the way for the downfall and discredit of those who issue them.

The rulers of these countries are advised to abandon these unwise actions and, instead of confronting scholars, to join their voices in the fight against arrogance and Zionism, which seek to erase the very essence of Islam.

We beseech Almighty God for the dignity and glory of Islam, victory for the oppressed scholars, and their liberation from the chains of oppressors.

Hossein Nouri Hamedani
