Hawzah News Agency- Speaking on the integration of AI in religious outreach, Hojatoleslam Sharifi highlighted that digital platforms now allow missionaries to access vast, reliable databases of hadiths and interpretations, enhancing the depth and accuracy of their teachings. “Preachers no longer study narrations in isolation; AI enables them to analyze connections across multiple sources, improving the scientific and intellectual quality of their messages,” he said.
AI is also revolutionizing audience understanding. By analyzing online behavior, social media activity, and search patterns, religious communicators can gain precise insights into the concerns and interests of different communities, from local districts to international audiences.
Beyond research, AI facilitates global engagement. Advanced translation tools now allow religious messages to reach multiple languages accurately, enabling Iranian missionaries to connect with diverse populations worldwide without language barriers.
While emphasizing the enduring significance of traditional pulpits, Hojatoleslam Sharifi stressed that digital platforms expand the reach and longevity of religious messages. “In cyberspace, preaching becomes a global dialogue, not just a local sermon,” he noted.
He concluded that intelligent use of AI in religious propaganda represents a historic opportunity to deepen engagement, convey messages more effectively, and create a lasting connection between religious thought and contemporary audiences.
