Sayyed al-Houthi: Yemen to outlast war; warns Qatar of regime change

Ansar Allah leader Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi declared on Thursday that Saudi Arabia's attempt to break the Yemeni people's will is doomed to fail, speaking on the 10th anniversary of the Great Hall massacre in Sanaa.

Hawzah News Agency- He stressed that Riyadh's losses grow the longer it persists with its aggression and blockade, accused Saudi Arabia of committing war crimes in partnership with the US and "Israel," and warned Qatar against its growing involvement in the campaign against Yemen.

The Yemeni leader also affirmed that Yemeni forces can strike any target in the Red Sea or Arabian Sea, and called for mass demonstrations on Friday.

Sayyed al-Houthi recalled that the Saudi attack on the Great Hall in Sanaa in 2016 killed and wounded around 1,000 people. He noted that every Yemeni governorate has since witnessed "crimes against humanity and war crimes committed by the Saudi regime."

He accused Riyadh of deliberately targeting Yemeni civilians "alongside its US and Israeli partners," and dismissed its goal of "forcing Yemenis into submission" as "an illusion and a mirage." Saudi Arabia's losses, he insisted, "continue to mount the longer it persists with its aggression and blockade."

Sayyed al-Houthi also challenged Saudi Arabia's claim to religious standing. Riyadh presents itself as custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, he argued, yet the sword on its flag "has only been drawn against the peoples of our Islamic nation."

He said the kingdom was "addicted to shedding innocent blood" and urged Muslims everywhere to see it as a criminal entity that "does not represent Islam but follows the Zionist approach."

After 12 years of aggression, he noted, the pattern is clear. "The more blood Saudi Arabia sheds, the more determined the Yemeni people become to confront the aggressor." He warned that anyone who sides with Riyadh becomes complicit in its wrongdoing.

Sayyed al-Houthi revealed that Saudi Arabia hopes to carry out regime change in Qatar, a goal shared by Bahrain's ruling Al Khalifa family.

He stated that he had offered advice to Qatar the day before, pointing out that Doha is now supporting the Saudi aggression on Yemen. "Even this level of involvement makes Qatar complicit in the injustice inflicted on the Yemeni people," he cautioned.

He reminded Qataris of what followed when they joined Riyadh's campaign against Yemen. Saudi Arabia showed no appreciation for their participation, he recounted, and instead turned on them with a political and economic boycott, military intimidation and incitement, in an effort to isolate Qatar completely.

On the military front, Sayyed al-Houthi affirmed that Yemeni forces are able to strike any target in the Red Sea or Arabian Sea from anywhere in Yemen. Yemen's enemies are angry, he explained, "because it has asserted sovereignty over its territory."

He emphasized that the threat to international shipping comes from Saudi Arabia, which he said has turned the Bab al-Mandab area into a war zone.

Sayyed al-Houthi underlined that Yemen holds a strong position and that its forces are "dealing devastating blows to Saudi troop concentrations." He added that Saudi Arabia is suffering losses in its oil exports, while its oil facilities and military bases are being targeted.
