Hawzah News Agency- Ayatollah Qorbanali Dorri-Najafabadi, the representative of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Markazi Province, made the remarks during Friday prayers in Arak, according to a report by the Hawzah News agency.
Iran’s 3,000-Year Maritime Legacy
Commemorating the anniversary of the IRGC Navy and honoring the martyrs of both the Army and IRGC naval forces, Ayatollah Dorri-Najafabadi highlighted Iran’s three-millennium maritime history, calling for serious planning to harness the country’s vast maritime potential — from the Caspian Sea to the Indian Ocean and the Red Sea.
He stressed the need to rely on domestic capabilities and efficient management, urging efforts to overcome historical backwardness in the shipbuilding industry. Noting that Iran possesses capable commanders in the military sphere, he said the executive management sector must also employ competent officials to unlock the country’s technical and production capacities.
Security Thanks to IRGC and Police Sacrifices
Marking National Police Week, the cleric expressed gratitude to Iran’s Law Enforcement Command (Faraja) for maintaining security in cities and border regions, saying the nation’s peace and stability are owed to their sacrifices.
“The Iranian nation today, with its high military readiness and advanced equipment, stands firm against any threat, and the enemies must not imagine that through conspiracy or pressure they can impose their policies on this nation,” Ayatollah Dorri-Najafabadi declared.
Advanced Wound Care Clinic Opens in Arak
Ayatollah Dorri-Najafabadi noted the opening of a wound clinic at the Ayatollah Khansari Educational and Medical Center in Arak. The facility, established with contributions from health sector philanthropists, aims to provide specialized treatment for chronic wounds and prevent amputation using advanced technologies. He described it as part of efforts to expand cancer treatment and complex wound care capacity.
Prayer: A Fortress Against Social Harm
In his Friday sermon, the cleric described prayer as the “ascension of the faithful” and a deterrent against indecency and wrongdoing, stressing the need to institutionalize the culture of prayer in schools, universities, and across society.
“Prayer is more than a mere ritual — it is the pillar of the tent of religion and the main source of human spiritual and mental tranquility,” he said. “Its blessings are not limited to the individual; it guarantees moral health and reduces social harm.”
He stressed that a society committed to prayer is protected from lies, betrayal, corruption, bribery, and broken promises. A true worshipper, he added, is one who upholds social responsibilities, trustworthiness, and loyalty alongside acts of worship.
Ayatollah Dorri-Najafabadi said the true essence of a human being lies not in the physical body but in spiritual qualities and moral character, which are shaped through prayer, fasting, supplication, and familiarity with the Holy Quran. He cited the companions of Imam Hussein (AS), who prioritized prayer even amid the fierce battle of Ashura, leaving an eternal example for seekers of truth.
