Martyr Nasrallah Was a Symbol of Islamic Unity: Hormozgan Cleric

A senior Iranian cleric says Martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah transcended Shia and Islamic world boundaries, and his unity-oriented thought and civilizational vision can serve as a model for Islamic convergence and the realization of a new Islamic civilization.

Hawzah News Agency- Hojatoleslam Mohammad Ebadizadeh, the representative of the Supreme Leader of Iran in Hormozgan Province and Friday prayer leader of Bandar Abbas, described Martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah as a figure who transcended Shia and Islamic world boundaries, saying his unity-oriented thought and civilizational vision can be considered a model for Islamic world convergence and the realization of a new Islamic civilization.

Speaking at the unveiling ceremony of the call for the international "Omana al-Rosol" congress, focused on "Islamic Unity and Resistance in the Thought of Martyr Nasrallah," held in Qom, Ebadizadeh stressed the need to introduce the various dimensions of Martyr Nasrallah's personality to the Islamic world. He said the congress can pave the way for expanding scholarly ties between the seminaries of Qom and Najaf and, subsequently, creating links between Shia scholarly centers and Sunni seminaries across the Islamic world.

A Valuable Opportunity to Present Nasrallah's Legacy

Referring to the series of joint scholarly conferences between the Qom and Najaf seminaries, he said introducing Martyr Nasrallah as a product of both the Qom and Najaf schools is a valuable opportunity to explain the various dimensions of his personality and present his intellectual and practical legacy to the global community.

Noting Hormozgan Province's strategic position and developments related to the Persian Gulf region, Ebadizadeh added that Hormozgan, given its special place in regional developments and its important capacities in resistance and Islamic unity, can play an effective role in holding international scholarly programs centered on Martyr Nasrallah.

Nasrallah Was a Multidimensional Figure

The representative of the Supreme Leader in Hormozgan Province said Martyr Nasrallah's personality has numerous and complex dimensions, adding that he cannot be understood through a single lens or from a single angle—he was a multidimensional figure whose intellectual, spiritual, social, political, cultural, managerial and civilizational dimensions require deep research and study.

He continued that figures like Martyr Nasrallah should be considered a "school," because such individuals carry a collection of thought, behavior, ethics, management, jihad and lifestyle, and understanding them can offer valuable models for today's society and future generations.

A Symbol of Unity and Peaceful Coexistence

Ebadizadeh described Nasrallah's unity-oriented outlook as one of the most important dimensions of his personality, stating that he was not only a caller for unity among Muslims but also managed to attain a standing in Lebanese society among various religious and social groups that went beyond a Shia figure, and was accepted as a symbol of unity and peaceful coexistence.

He added that this characteristic shows Martyr Nasrallah's personality is not limited to the Shia community or even the Islamic world, and has the capacity to be examined as a model for bringing societies closer together and strengthening convergence in the world.

Expanding Scholarly Ties Across the Islamic World

The Hormozgan cleric also stressed the need to use the congress's capacity to expand ties with scholarly centers in the Islamic world, expressing hope that in continuation of this path, Sunni scholarly centers and seminaries, as well as influential scholarly figures of the Islamic world, will participate in this scholarly movement so that the circle of communication among the Islamic world's scholarly centers becomes broader.

He described the realization of a new Islamic civilization as requiring the expansion of the Islamic Ummah's intellectual horizons, stating that to move toward a new Islamic civilization, the outlook of the Islamic Ummah must expand in all areas, and figures like Martyr Nasrallah can be studied as concrete and practical examples of this civilizational thinking.

Seminaries and the Software of Civilization

Referring to the role of seminaries in producing the "software of civilization," Ebadizadeh noted that an important part of civilization relies on software such as spirituality, lifestyle, culture, ethics, and the production of thought and ideas, and many dimensions of Martyr Nasrallah's personality can be examined in this same software domain of civilization.

He added that seminaries, alongside universities, must play a role in producing this civilizational software and must identify and introduce to society figures who can serve as concrete models in this field.

The representative of the Supreme Leader in Hormozgan Province stated that Martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah has a high capacity for presenting this software dimension of Islamic civilization, and examining his personality can provide society with part of the model needed for Islamic civilization-building.

Hope for Greater Recognition

In conclusion, Ebadizadeh expressed hope that the scholarly activities of the international "Omana al-Rosol" congress will lead to the identification and introduction of neglected and lesser-known dimensions of Martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah's personality, adding that these studies must first be explained for our own society and then for the Islamic world and the global community, so that the martyr's intellectual and practical legacy can be used as a model for future generations.
