Hawzah News Agency- Hojatoleslam Rahimi Sadeq, director of the Islamic Seminary of Tehran Province, described Operation Al-Aqsa Storm as a turning point in regional developments and the beginning of a new stage in the Zionist regime's decline, saying the operation delivered a strategic and irreparable blow to the entity's body—one whose effects continue to manifest despite the regime's widespread crimes in Palestine and the region.
Al-Aqsa Storm: A Turning Point in Regional Developments
Speaking to Hawzah News Agency in Tehran on the anniversary of the operation, Rahimi Sadeq said the significance of October 7 becomes clearer when viewed as the start of an open phase of the Zionist regime's decline—an event that reshaped regional equations and returned the Palestine issue to the center of global public attention.
Referring to divine promises in the Holy Quran regarding the fate of the Children of Israel, he added that according to religious beliefs and divine traditions mentioned in the Quran, oppression and corruption will ultimately meet their consequences. From this perspective, Al-Aqsa Storm can be considered the beginning of the fulfillment of this divine tradition.
Widespread Crimes Failed to Erase Al-Aqsa Storm's Strategic Impact
Rahimi Sadeq noted that the Zionist regime committed widespread crimes in Palestine after the operation, with large numbers of innocent people, including women and children, falling victim to its attacks.
He continued that during subsequent regional developments and conflicts, a number of resistance commanders and influential figures of the resistance front were martyred, and attacks were also carried out against the Islamic Republic of Iran. However, none of these actions has been able to fully compensate for the blow Al-Aqsa Storm dealt to the Zionist regime.
Global Public Opinion Has Shifted on the Zionist Regime
The seminary director stated that one of the most important effects of Al-Aqsa Storm has been the shift in global public opinion regarding the Palestine issue and heightened sensitivity to crimes committed in Gaza and other Palestinian areas.
He added that signs of this shift can be seen in some international bodies, with widespread protests against the Zionist regime's policies now echoing even at the United Nations level.
International Pressure Mounting on the Zionist Regime
Rahimi Sadeq said the Zionist regime's lost credibility will not be easily restored, explaining that while the regime may continue its military actions and crimes, this does not mean a return to its former standing. In many cases, such actions have instead increased political and social pressure and intensified public hatred toward its policies.
He emphasized that Al-Aqsa Storm transformed the Palestine issue from a regional matter into one of the most important issues in global public opinion, and subsequent developments showed that the narrative and image presented of the Zionist regime worldwide now faces serious challenges.
Regional Developments and the Reduction of US Military Presence
Turning to the US military presence in the region, Rahimi Sadeq noted that in recent months and years, the issue of reducing American forces in some regional countries has been raised, with US bases and forces undergoing changes in their level of presence and mission.
Referring to ceremonies held in Iraq related to the withdrawal of American forces, he stressed that these developments should not be interpreted as the complete end of US presence and influence in the region, as Washington may continue to pursue its goals through other means.
Resistance: A Decisive Factor in the Region's Future
In conclusion, Rahimi Sadeq emphasized the role of resistance and the steadfastness of the Palestinian nation and the resistance front in future developments, saying the Palestinian people have stood firm with patience and resistance over the years, and post-Al-Aqsa Storm developments showed that resistance remains one of the key factors shaping regional equations.
He expressed hope that the Palestinian nation and the peoples of the region will soon witness the results of their steadfastness and resistance, and that regional developments will lead to reduced domination by foreign powers, increased independence for regional countries, and the realization of the Palestinian nation's rights.
