Hawzah News Agency- Speaking at a meeting of the Kurdistan Administrative Council attended by the Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts, Pourzehi described Kurdistan as one of Iran’s most culturally rich and historically significant provinces. He noted that landmarks such as Khosrow Abad Mansion, Vakil Posht Divan, Mulla Sheikh Lotfollah, Sheikh al-Islam, and the Asef Mansion reflect the deep historical and artistic legacy of the region.
Hojatoleslam Pourzehi emphasized that tourism and traditional crafts—such as wood carving, joinery, and prayer-room artistry—represent key sectors for promoting economic growth and cultural vitality in Kurdistan.
He expressed hope that with stronger government support, particularly from the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, ongoing development projects would help the province achieve a more prominent position at the national level.
The cleric also commended the efforts of the provincial governor and lawmakers, urging continued attention to fully harness Kurdistan’s diverse capacities in cultural, economic, and social fields.
