Hawzah News Agency- The visit featured various religious and cultural activities held at the shrine’s Melal Portico. The program began with recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and Ziyarat Arbaeen, followed by the chanting of Ziyarat Aminullah and a chorus performance of religious hymns by the Malaysian group.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mahdi Lesani, director of the Office for Foreign Pilgrims’ Affairs, welcomed the pilgrims and recalled memories of his visit to Malaysia, where he carried the flag of Imam Reza’s holy shrine in Kuala Lumpur. He highlighted the “deep spiritual ties” between the Iranian and Malaysian nations.
Lesani also introduced the wide range of services offered to international pilgrims at the shrine, including congregational prayers, religious ceremonies, specialized meetings, and scientific roundtables. He further encouraged Malaysian visitors to explore the shrine’s architectural features, courtyards, porticos, and artistic masterpieces with the guidance of shrine experts.
Paying tribute to the late master Mahmoud Farshchian, Lesani praised his significant contributions to the design of both Imam Reza and Imam Hussein holy shrines, as well as his donation of valuable paintings to the shrine’s museum.
The program concluded with the presentation of blessed inscriptions and cultural gifts to the Malaysian pilgrims, marking the end of their spiritual visit.
