Hawzah News Agency- Led by Sheikh Ibrahim bin Abdulqader, the 15-member group traveled to Mashhad before embarking on the Arbaeen pilgrimage to Karbala, Iraq. “We came to seek permission for the pilgrimage to Imam Hussain (AS), and the spiritual atmosphere of Imam Reza’s shrine greatly prepared our hearts for the Arbaeen walk,” Sheikh Ibrahim said. He also expressed gratitude for the warm reception and cultural services provided by the Office for Non-Iranian Pilgrims’ Affairs of Astan Quds Razavi.
Praising the shrine’s grandeur, he noted, “Its unique architecture leaves a strong spiritual impression, while the hospitality of its servants greatly enhances the pilgrims’ experience.”
Another pilgrim, Rahaya Jismon, shared her emotions, saying, “I was delighted to be in the sacred presence of Imam Reza. The visit touched me deeply, and I hope to return in the coming years.” She commended the facilities for foreign visitors but suggested the installation of more English-language signs to help navigate the sprawling courtyards.
Rahaya also expressed admiration for Iran and its people. “Iran is recognized globally as a heroic nation. The courage and bravery of its people have amazed the world, and being among them made me feel proud,” she said.
The Imam Reza Shrine (AS), a major spiritual and cultural hub for Shia Muslims, attracts millions of pilgrims each year from around the globe.
