Hawzah News Agency- In a statement, Senator Raja Nasser Abbas Jafari, Chairman of Pakistan Muslim Unity Assembly, expressed deep sorrow over the assassination of Mufti Munir Shakir, and called the incident an irreparable loss for the Islamic Ummah.

He emphasized that Mufti Munir Shakir was not only a prominent scholar, but also a great standard-bearer of unity and brotherhood in the Islamic community.

Pointing out Mufti Shakir's prominent personality, he said,” Mufti Munir Shakir was always steadfast in the path of spreading kindness, unity and empathy among Muslims. Although his martyrdom is a great loss, his intellectual and spiritual legacy will continue to serve as a guiding light for all Muslims.”

Senator Raja Nasser added, "The martyrdom of this pious scholar shows the fear of the enemies of peace and unity that Mufti Shakir adhered to throughout his noble life. This incident will serve as a motivation for us to continue his path with faith and perseverance."

He called on the Pakistan government to seriously bring the perpetrators of this terrorist incident to justice and to especially protect the prominent scholars who are the standard bearers of brotherhood and empathy.
