The mission includes a series of high-level meetings with Japanese scholars, academics, cultural figures, religious leaders, and members of the Iranian community residing in Japan.
This landmark visit is expected to pave the way for new scholarly exchanges and academic collaborations between Iran’s Islamic seminaries and Japan’s scientific, cultural, and religious institutions.
Notably, Japan—renowned for its advanced scientific and technological standing, as well as its top-tier universities—continues to serve as a focal point for nations across East and Southeast Asia. Strengthening academic ties with Japan is seen as a strategic step toward deepening cross-cultural, scientific, and interfaith dialogue with the broader East Asian region.
The delegation includes Hojatoleslam Mohammad Reza Barteh, Deputy Director for International Affairs, and Hojatoleslam Mohammad Sadeq Amin-Din, Head of the Religions and Denominations Office, both representing the Director of the Islamic Seminaries and the International Affairs Department.
