Hawzah News Agency- Shaykh al-Saduq narrated from his father, from Ahmad ibn Idris, from Sahl ibn Zyad, from Al-Nawfaly, from Isma’il ibn Abi Zyad that Imam Sadiq (pbuh) said:

Whoever’s health is predominant over his illness, yet he is treated with something and dies, I am free before Allah from (responsibility for) him.(1)

(1) Commentary: One should not pursue unnecessary or harmful treatment when symptoms do not warrant it.

Al-Khisal,Book 2,Chapter 81
