Hawzah News Agency- Muhammad ibn al-Hassan ibn Ahmad ibn al-Walid narrated that Muhammad ibn al-Hassan al-Saffar narrated from Al-Abbas ibn Ma’ruf, from Al-Hassan ibn Mahboob, from Han’nan ibn Sadeer, from his father that Imam Baqir (pbuh) said:
كل ذنب يكفره القتل في سبيل الله عز وجل إلا الدين [فانه] لا كفارة له إلا أداءه، أو يقضى صاحبه أو يعفو الذي له الحق
Every sin is expiated by being killed in the way of Allah, Almighty and Glorious, except debt — for it has no expiation(kaffarah) except its repayment, or that the creditor settles it, or forgives the one who owes it.
