Hawzah News Agency- In the 7th congress of custodians of holy sites and sacred places of Iran, held at Imam Reza shrine, Hujjat al-Islam Ahmad Marvi highlighted the country's energy imbalance and the importance of conservation.
“In the current national situation, this issue has been carefully addressed, and lighting in the shrine, especially in less frequented areas, has been reduced as much as possible”, noted the custodian.
The top official emphasized that current issues and regional conditions should be explained to pilgrims at the shrines.
Hujjat al-Islam Marvi pointed to the recent remarks made the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, who called on speakers to reiterate and explain these issues to society.
The shrine’s custodian also stressed the importance of celebrating the festivals of the Ahl al-Bayt, stating, “The rightful joy during these festivals should be conveyed to society. Just as martyrdom and mourning are prominently highlighted in public and media spaces, the festivals of the Ahl al-Bayt should receive the same attention to spread joy within the community, with the holy sites playing a crucial role in this cultural promotion”.
The cleric further drew attention to pilgrimage as a national issue, explaining, “Strengthening individual faith, pilgrimage, can impact spiritual growth and social tranquility, thereby expanding security and peace within society. Pilgrimage also promotes empathy and facilitates positive social interactions”.
He went on to say that just as governments prioritize economic, livelihood, and educational issues, they should also prioritize pilgrimage.
AQR’s Custodian underscored the need to revive the role of intellectual authority, elites, and prominent scholars, noting، “The memory of Imam Khomeini should not fade in society. Sensitivity to his image in events and ceremonies is crucial, as many of the nation's distinguished leaders and the resistance front were nurtured by Imam Khomeini and his movement”.
He concluded his remarks by saying: “Undoubtedly, the continuation of the revolution requires preserving and expanding these values”.
