Hawzah News Agency- following the earthquake in Khoy city of West Azerbaijan Province in Iran, a group of 40 Basiji members from the Imam Jafar al-Sadiq brigade of Qom province were dispatched to the region to serve the countrymen affected by the earthquake.

Hujjat al-Islam Montazerzadeh, commander of the 83rd Independent Brigade of Imam Jafar al-Sadiq, announced the readiness of all Basiji forces of this unit to be sent to the earthquake-affected areas and said,” Like other unexpected events, the Basiji force and clerics of this unit played an effective role. In case of need, with all our strength and capacity and using all the Basij forces, who are all seminary students and clerics, we are ready to provide relief and help to the affected areas of Khoy.”

He added,” In this regard, other Basiji forces of this unit have also announced their readiness to be dispatched to the earthquake-affected areas in order to provide relief to the injured and are waiting for the announcement of the request for deployment.”
