The World Shia Forum condemned the anti-human rights and cruel actions of the German government to ban the activities of Hamburg Islamic Center.

Hawzah News Agency- After sending protest letters to the United Nations Human Rights Commissioner, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the German Embassy and the German Immigration Office, this assembly condemned the cruel actions and false accusations of the German government against mosques and Shiite centers.

This assembly has issued a statement for this purpose as follows:

We express our strong and deep concern and protest against the clear violation of the rights of Muslim citizens and followers of the Shiite religion in Germany.

Numerous Shia mosques and the houses of Friday imams which were disrespected and desecrated by German police officers through extreme inspections, arrests and expulsions; Some respectable clerics, are now under attack. At the same time, these personalities have been subjected to brutality and false accusations and unjust behavior. These mosques have been subjected to propaganda and false accusations by the German authorities, the media and televisions.

The issued judicial verdict violates human rights and without considering the right of appeal, and without going through the prescribed procedures, has been implemented illegally to satisfy the Zionist lobbies.

The illegal and violent actions of the German authorities against mosques, Islamic centers and registered and legal Shia associations are a clear violation of the basic human rights of Shiites living in Germany and the right to freedom and personal and professional security, and the right to freedom of expression and the right to a fair trial of Muslims.

These actions are contrary to the provisions of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and other international human rights documents and treaties.

In addition, the harassment and unlawful dismissal of the imam and director of the Berlin Islamic Center, who has only been engaged in peaceful cultural and educational activities for the past eight years, violates the principle of freedom of religion and the rights of religious minorities in German law.

This invasion, destruction and confiscation of property and closing of mosques is only an example of the violation of the rights of Ahl al-Bayt followers in Germany.

In recent months, we have witnessed many cases of discrimination, harassment and violation of the religious freedoms of Shiites in this country, which have been presented in detail in the previous letters of this assembly to the world assemblies.

The behavior of the German government is a clear violation of fundamental human rights, including freedom of religion, freedom of speech and freedom of expression, which are recognized in international human rights covenants, including the International Convention on Civil and Political Rights.

In view of the above, we request the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights:

1. Investigate this case immediately and independently and deal with the violation of human rights of Shia Muslims in Germany.

2. Take the necessary measures to cancel the illegal decision to confiscate mosques and restore the dignity of these religious centers.

3. The perpetrators of this illegal cruelty should be prosecuted and punished.

4. Guarantee that the German government fully and effectively implements the rights of freedom of religion and other fundamental rights of Ahl al-Bayt followers.

5. Adequate compensation should be paid to Shiite mosques and centers due to the violation of their human rights and the material and spiritual damages caused by extreme police attacks.

We also request the authorities of the United Nations to inform the German government about the protests of the Shiites of the world and to take legal action to realize the rights of the followers of the Ahl al-Bayt, peace be upon them, in Germany, the European Union, and other countries.

We hope that the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights will act decisively in carrying out its duties to protect human rights around the world, including in Germany.
