"Words cannot describe the pilgrimage to Imam Reza holy shrine" says Mahdi Hasan, a Shia Muslim from India’s Hyderabad, adding, the most important gift that he can take back home from his pilgrimage in Mashhad is the sense of peace and calmness.

Hawzah News Agency – Mahdi who was doing his first pilgrimage in Mashhad, said: “Imam Reza holy shrine has a very great architecture; it is so huge but everything is accessible to the visitors and pilgrims in a way that their convenience is fully observed”.
Referring to the crowded courtyards and porticos of the holy shrine, the 32-year-old pilgrim said: “Although Imam Reza shrine is always hosting large number of people from different parts of the world, facilities of the complex are incredible and everything is very well organized in a way that access to the porticos and the holy chamber is not difficult”.
The Indian pilgrim added: “Servants and officials of Imam Reza holy shrine are just amazing and I did not expect shrine people to be so humble like this. Servants at Urdu and English desks are unbelievably attentive and gracious”.
Referring to the daily stresses human beings encounter in today’s lives, he stressed: “When one comes here and receives calmness and peace of the complex accompanied by great services of the servants, no stress or concern is left in pilgrim’s mind”.
Mahdi Hasan, a computer science engineer in Hyderabad, was member of a 14-person group from India who enjoyed services of Urdu and English desks at holy shrine’s Office for Foreign Pilgrims’ Affairs.
Having a pilgrimage and tour inside the holy complex, visiting Central Museum, watching introductive video clips about the holy shrine, and participating in religious and cultural question and answer session were some programs of the Indian group in Imam Reza shrine. The group also received some blessed cultural gifts at the end of their presence in Imam Reza holy shrine’s Office for Foreign Pilgrims’ Affairs.
