Hawzah News Agency- Hujjat al-Islam Syed Jawad Naqvi, the head of the Tehreek-e-Bidari Ummat Mustafa of Pakistan, in his speech at the Baitul-Atiq Mosque in Lahore, criticized the silence of Islamic communities against the crimes in Gaza, and stated that this war has shown that many religious people have forgotten the spirit of fighting against oppression.

Referring to the verses of the Holy Quran, he said,” The Holy Quran revealed the truth of the religious class of Bani Isra'il and showed how they distorted religion for their worldly interests. Today, the situation of Islamic communities is no different from them; many religious scholars change Islamic rulings according to their interests and hide the truth of Islam.”

The president of Al-Urwa Al-Wathqi University further noted, “The Gaza war proved that Muslims are living in a dangerous illusion. While our brothers and sisters in Gaza are under bombardment, no effective action has been taken and no outcry has been raised by Islamic scholars. It is this indifference, betrayal and weakness that has given more courage to the oppressors and made the world powers more arrogant than before. The US president, who does not adhere to any human principles, is pressuring Iran with the threat of a military attack.”
