Hawzah News Agency- Hojatoleslam Habibullah Farahzad made the remarks during a religious gathering at the holy shrine in Qom, noting that the current lunar month of Dhu al-Qa'dah is one of the sacred months in which conflict, dispute and division must be set aside.
He pointed to the centrality of Imam Reza (PBUH) during this month, highlighting key occasions including the birth anniversaries of the Imam and his sister, the martyrdom anniversaries of both Imam Reza (PBUH) and Imam Jawad (PBUH), as well as the event of Dahw al-Ardh.
Citing a tradition from Imam Reza (PBUH), the cleric said the closest people to God and the Prophet (PBUH) are those who take the initiative in greeting others with peace.
He stressed that arrogance and pride are among the worst traits, adding that the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) taught that the act of offering Salam breaks down arrogance in a person.
Farahzad further related that Imam Reza (PBUH) instructed Hazrat Abd al-Azim al-Hasani to convey his greetings to his followers and to tell them to block the paths of Satanic infiltration.
One of the main avenues of such infiltration, he warned, is the creation of division and discord.
The cleric stated that the United States and the Zionist regime have spent heavily and exerted extensive efforts to fuel division among Iranians, pointing to last winter's riots as an example.
He cautioned that internal strife pits people against one another, whereas unity and solidarity serve as a force mightier than the Strait of Hormuz or even an atomic bomb.
The enemy’s most powerful weapon is division, Farahzad asserted, adding that those who call for discord are either complete agents of the enemy or entirely ignorant.
Quoting a tradition from the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali (PBUH), he said: "Beware lest division fall among you, for it leads to defeat. And know that the hand of God is with the community."
