Hawzah News Agency- The meeting was also attended by students from Niger, Mali, and Burkina Faso, who exchanged views with the prominent Nigerian cleric in a cordial atmosphere.
Sheikh Zakzaky underscored the importance of international Islamic propagation and called on seminary students to combine preaching with scholarly rigor. “Preaching alone is not enough,” he said. “Advice and guidance are effective only when supported by knowledge and documentation.”
He emphasized that true preachers must dedicate themselves to study and sacrifice, comparing the pursuit of knowledge to “a butterfly setting its wings on fire in the path of enlightenment.”
Highlighting the need for steadfastness against oppression, Zakzaky warned against the normalization of relations with oppressors and usurpers of Muslim rights. “We follow the path of those who, despite hardship and loss, refused to submit to tyranny,” he said.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Sheikh Zakzaky expressed appreciation for the visiting students and urged them to promote Islam across Africa in their native languages and dialects. He voiced hope that “one day, every African community will have its own preacher and guide to truth.”
