Hawzah News Agency- In a meeting of the International Headquarters of the Resistance Seminary, held with the presence of seminary officials in Qom, Sheikh Al-Khatib highlighted the necessity of strengthening solidarity among regional states.
At the beginning of the meeting, Hojatoleslam Mohammad Reza Barteh welcomed Sheikh Al-Khatib and his delegation, recalling a memory of the late Ayatollah Misbah Yazdi. He said: “Ayatollah Misbah always emphasized that even the Internet is within the domain of God’s Lordship, and if we act correctly, divine angels will spread the light of truth across the world.”
Sheikh Al-Khatib then provided an account of the current developments in Lebanon, stating: “We are in a very difficult stage of the war. The enemy is attacking Lebanon with all its strength, yet the resistance continues its struggle despite heavy sacrifices.”
He noted that during the defense of Beirut, many martyrs—among them non-Shiites—lost their lives, which, he stressed, reflects the unity of all Lebanese people against the Zionist enemy.
Referring to the destruction caused by Israeli aggression, Al-Khatib said: “Some villages in the Bekaa and other areas have been seriously damaged and many homes destroyed, but the resistance remains steadfast.”
The head of the Supreme Council of the Shiites of Lebanon further emphasized the significant role of the Shiite community in defending Lebanon, saying: “The proportion of Shiite martyrs compared to their population is very high, which shows the great contribution of Shiites to the protection of their homeland.”
