Lady Masuma's Arrival in Qom Sparked a Scientific and Spiritual Movement: Ayatollah Saeedi

The custodian of the holy shrine of Lady Fatima Masuma (peace be upon her) has described her historic arrival in the holy city of Qom as the starting point of a vast scientific and spiritual movement, saying that through her blessed presence, Qom became a center for the dissemination of the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).

Hawzah News Agency- Ayatollah Seyyed Mohammad Saeedi made the remarks during a ceremony at the holy shrine, attended by provincial officials and administrators, marking the anniversary of Lady Masuma's arrival in Qom.

The cleric paid tribute to the martyrs of the Islamic Revolution and those martyred in recent events, stating that the memory of those who served the path of the Islamic Revolution remains eternal among the Islamic Ummah and reminds future generations of the path of responsibility and service.

Referring to images of recent martyrs and the late Leader of the Islamic Revolution displayed at the venue, Ayatollah Saeedi said these images serve as a reminder that this world is not a permanent abode, and what remains for a person is how one fulfilled one's duty and the path one chose throughout life.

A Historic and Civilizational Event

Citing the Quranic verse "O you who have believed, remember the favor of Allah upon you," the custodian stated that the arrival of Lady Fatima Masuma in Qom is a historic and civilizational event that can be viewed in continuity with the migration of the Holy Prophet to Medina and the formation of Islamic society.

"This occasion must be recognized as a divine blessing, and preserving and safeguarding its legacy is a duty," he said. "The presence of divine personalities and the establishment of religious and scholarly centers serve the fulfillment of the divine promise to spread religion and monotheistic teachings."

Islamic Revolution as Continuation of Historic Movement

Ayatollah Saeedi pointed to the victory of the Islamic Revolution under the guidance of Imam Khomeini as one of the most important manifestations of Islam's historic movement in the contemporary era.

"The people have witnessed numerous events, wars, attacks and challenges along the path of this movement over the past several decades," he said. "Alongside these challenges, divine assistance has also been evident throughout these years, and today the movement of the Islamic establishment continues despite various pressures and threats."

Confrontation Between Truth and Falsehood

Addressing regional developments, Ayatollah Saeedi said the confrontation between the front of truth and the front of falsehood has manifested in various forms throughout history.

"Today, the front of arrogance stands against the Islamic movement, and we witness the consequences of this confrontation in Gaza, Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen and other parts of the world," he stated.

Qom's Scholarly Movement Rooted in Lady Masuma's Presence

The custodian of the holy shrine emphasized that the formation of Qom's scholarly movement is rooted in the presence of Lady Fatima Masuma (PBUH), noting that her arrival in Qom had been foretold years before her birth.

"Through her presence, this city became one of the most important centers of knowledge and virtue," he said.

Referring to narrations from the Ahl al-Bayt regarding the status of Qom, Ayatollah Saeedi noted that the city has been described in traditions as a place from which knowledge and the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt would spread to various parts of the world. He added that the Islamic Seminary of Qom was established and developed in continuation of this historic and spiritual capacity.

Tradition of Imam Musa al-Kadhim

Ayatollah Saeedi also referenced a narration from Imam Musa al-Kadhim (peace be upon him) regarding the rising of a figure from Qom, saying the tradition speaks of a personality who will call people to the truth, with a steadfast and resilient group forming around him—a group that will not retreat from its path despite hardships and enemy pressure.

Responsibility of Shrine Servants

Addressing the servants of the holy shrine, Ayatollah Saeedi stressed that service at this sacred threshold is not merely a title but a responsibility toward pilgrims, the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt and the scientific and spiritual heritage of Qom.

"Servants must carry out this responsibility through sincere service to pilgrims and the protection of the sanctity of the holy shrine," he said.

In conclusion, Ayatollah Saeedi described the arrival of Lady Fatima Masuma in Qom as the source of a scientific, spiritual and civilizational movement that, through the dissemination of the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt and the establishment of the Qom Seminary, has extended from this city to various parts of the world.
