Hawzah News Agency- Hojatoleslam Seyyed Hassan Rabbani made the remarks in a meeting with a delegation of Indonesian Muslim students residing in Iran, where he highlighted the long-standing and friendly ties between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Indonesia.
“There exist deep-rooted and extensive relations between the two countries, which can pave the way for the development of cooperation in various fields, especially in agriculture and food security,” Rabbani said.
He described the cultural and religious bonds between the Iranian and Indonesian nations as a valuable asset for strengthening bilateral relations, urging both sides to capitalize on this capacity to deepen cooperation and establish sustainable and fruitful ties.
Pointing to Indonesia’s significant standing in the Muslim world, the Iranian official noted that the two nations share abundant commonalities in religious, cultural, and social spheres, which can serve as a basis for the expansion and deepening of mutual relations.
Rabbani further stressed the necessity of unity and solidarity among Islamic countries, warning that the Muslim world today faces common threats and challenges, with the United States and the Zionist regime being among the primary sources of insecurity and instability in the region.
“Despite their ethnic, geographic, and sectarian differences, Muslims enjoy numerous commonalities, and these very commonalities can form the basis for greater unity and cooperation among Islamic nations,” he stated.
Highlighting the Islamic Republic’s role in the Muslim world, Rabbani said Iran has stood firm against US excesses and pressures, adding that such resilience is valuable and inspiring for the world, particularly for the Islamic Ummah.
“What we witness today in the Islamic Republic of Iran demonstrates the capacity and power of Islam in various arenas. Relying on faith, independence, and determination, the Iranian nation has managed to withstand pressures from major powers and continue on its path of progress,” he said.
Rabbani concluded by emphasizing that Iran’s steadfastness is not merely a national issue, but holds significance for Muslim nations as well, as it proves that Islamic countries can resist the pressures and hegemonic ambitions of major powers by relying on domestic capabilities, unity, and solidarity.
