Hawzah News Agency- Dr. Muhammad Tahir al-Qadri, founder of the Minhaj al-Quran Pakistan Movement, in his speech on the occasion of the martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Ali (PBUH), called this event a great disaster in the history of Islam and emphasized that this event sent a message to the Muslim nation to make felicity in the hereafter their main goal instead of pursuing the mortal desires of this world.
He further noted that the life of Hazrat Ali (PBUH) is full of teachings that even today provide valuable guidance for our social and moral life.
This prominent Sunni thinker referred to the Minhaj al-Quran Pakistan Itikaf Ceremony with the theme "Divine Love and the Joy of Monotheism" and said,” Hazrat Ali (PBUH) was the embodiment of justice, courage and honesty. He showed the path of truth to the Islamic nation with patience, perseverance and sacrifice”. He added, "The teachings of Imam Ali regarding patience, tolerance, justice, fairness and service to humanity continue to guide the Muslim Ummah."
Pointing out the difficult conditions of the Islamic Ummah, he said, "The increase in disobedience to God has led to a decrease in divine mercy and blessings. The holy month of Ramadan, especially its last decade, is an opportunity for self-knowledge, self-reflection and return to the divine path. The Muslim Ummah must abandon a life of neglect and seek divine satisfaction through repentance and servitude."
Stressing the role of youth in the future of the Islamic Ummah, Dr. Tahir al-Qadri noted, "Success in this world and the hereafter lies in love for religion and love for the character of the Prophet (PBUH). Youth should follow the teachings of Imam Ali (PBUH) to improve their morals and behavior; Those who endure hardships in the path of truth will reach their final destination.”
