Int’l Conference on "India-Iran Relations" Held in Mumbai

On the occasion of commemorating the Fajr decade of the Islamic Revolution, a two-day international multidisciplinary conference on the topic of India-Iran Relations was held at the Samadhi Bhiwandi College in Mumbai, India.

In his speech, Mohammad Reza Fazel, the head of the Iranian Culture House, referred to the long history of cultural exchanges between the two countries and considered the historical relations between the two nations of Iran and India to be based on human values, and cited the presence of Iranian scholars in the courts of Indian kings and the spread of Persian as an official language over many years in India.

He also considered the existence of dozens of Persian language groups in Indian universities in recent decades, and the education of Iranian students in India and Indian students and scholars in Iran as evidence of the strong cultural ties between the two countries; Considering the geographical and historical continuity of the two countries, he considered the expansion of these bilateral ties to be in the interests of both countries.

At the end of the conference, an Iranian film was screened by the Culture House of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Mumbai, and certificates were distributed. The collection of papers from this conference will be published soon.
